Record of Agarest War Zero is a prequel to the first Agarest game. Remember to look at the 'Preparation for Extra Mode' tips before starting this. Use of characters from both Agarest Zero, & the first Agarest (Digest Mode). Any tips for me on Record of Agarest War Zero? I played this game about a year or so ago when I first picked it up for the PS3, but stopped playing after a short while. I decided to pick it up again and start over. However, I am having a hard time preventing characters from dying and other issues.
Well how the title says, any tips???whitout any DLC use of course:) and using the true end guide from wiki.but before that i say that i played the first agarest until generation 2, then i saw that people say that Zero it's nearest the same but better that's why i'm going to play this game first, also i donwloaded one save game for play hard mode whitout need to finish the game before:).also i readed a lot the wiki page of the game.also some questions more:1-any useless character to don't spend time and PP on it???2-LUCK stat what do??? I know it good for steal/capture but do something more???3-i know it's good get a lot of VIT at start but it's good use all points of lvl in VIT??
Isn't bad if i don't do damage???4-do you recommend me use a EP pack points for enhance???? Or better whitout it???5-best characters where spend the free PP points you get for do the events???6-how long it's the forbiden tome in generation 2???? 1 hour of gameplay??? Maybe more????7-how good are battle mages???
I mean they need both stats STR/INT for be good?? Or i should focus on only one Stat and don't use the skills of the other stat???because if i use any weapon of STR and i want use a magic skill i will do very low dmg whit that character.8-isn't better a pure mage or warrior instead of battle mages???
Why i should use a battle mage???9-the trick hit skill why it's in the game?? I mean when i used it in the agarest generations of war game i only do 1 damage whit that and if i use the combination of skills to vanish trick the damage was very low too.10-what team you recommend me to use??? 1 tank/2warrior/3 mages???
2 warrior/4 mages??? Etc.11-how many VIT it's enough for each tipe of charcter???mages until 70 maybe??? Etc.12-something more i need to know about gear/weapons or basic things about this game???last random question:i was thinking in buy agarest 2 too for play station 3, should i will wait to see if comes to PC too and then buy here?(my preferences are PC more easy to find help via internet:P).
The PP and stuff carries over from the previous game. So if you are using a save game that already used them that is bad. Alice is a badass.
With a bunch of PP's early into her vit espacially and she will be a death machine. Most of the characters seem to be worthless at this point, the ones that are, it's obvious right away. Like they have 2 movement and all their stats are bad. Drops the first time through matter alot tho. If you already have really good weapons and armor for everybody from the save that could make anybody good.
The stuff matters more than the stats when you get right down to it. Vit I don't raise to a certain number. I raise until it starts cost 7 each to raise, which means you can only get 1 a turn. This is going to vary depending on the character.
The main has 80 vit and his still only costs 4. The main and alice are getting half the kills each.
Linda gets one kill a battle nobody else gets any. Alice is a battlemage, which usually sucks but works because of the staff she has. It gives her 2000 physical attack and magic.
That staff you get for having 50,000 gold, which you start with with the DLC but would take awhile to get otherwise. The stuff matter most in this game. You get a good weapon become available and a bad character becomes a good character. That scythe you need 2500 TP to get, once you get it, the scythe characters will be badasses. But right now I still only have about 1400 TP. Gonna be awhile for I get it still.
My party is level 30. There are 4 characters you generally want to keep using through the entire game, Sieghart, Leonis, Mimel and Routier (or Plum).Sieg, Leonis and Mimel use an EXTREMELY powerful move when you use their level 3 EX ability together. It is so powerful that the game basically forces you to use those 3 in hard mode for later bosses, especially on the Boundary Plane.
There are more powerful moves like S.O.B., but it forces you to use 6 specific characters so I do not recommend it since it is late game only and allows no malleability in your party.(For those who are curious, Soul of Blaze is the strongest EX skill in the game, but this party has no EX thief and no bait monster which I consider vital for end game hard mode.)Eternal Cross - Alice EX3Helectic Nova - Mimel EX3C. Rejuvination - Ellis EX3Catastrophe - Dyshana EX3Rising Blaze - Seighart EX3S, Strike - Leonis EX3Soul of Blaze VideoThe most powerful Sieg build I have played yet is:Class: WarriorCards: X-XI-XII-XIV-XXIII produces S/S/C/C/B with 17 AP.Slots: Combo/Combo/General/GeneralWeapon: Leonhardt's Sword, OathswornSkills:Axel Rave (C-Rush, C-Rush Beat, C-Rapid Move)2x Execution (G-Double Edge, G-Cross Edge, G-Square Cross)Blast (For rapid stream as needed)This build is just too much awesome. Not a single magic slot and the ability to do Axel Rave and 2x Executions by himself is just broken good.Routier is brokenly good because of her level 2 EX skill which gives 100SP to all characters within a two square range of her (If you play through digest mode, you can use Plum for this purpose instead). Late game, you basically just want to hang back with a bait character in front while the rest of your party gains SP. Routier is the master of SP gain. For your fifth character, I highly suggest someone with an EX steal skill.
Many of the best items in the game can be obtained reasonably through EX stealing from bosses (regular steal skills do not work). Tetora's level 1 EX skill works great here. Once the DLC is available though, if you want to spend some money, Winfield is probably better though any character that can EX steal is acceptable here. For your last slot, I suggest a large monster. The god Chaos is obviously the best large monster you can get, but capturing him is the ultimate goal of the game which means there are no harder challenges left to face, so meld a monster of your liking instead. In hard mode Boundary Plane, with max equipment and stats, the bosses will still one hit kill anyone they land their attacks on. Large monsters work GREAT to keep the bosses away from your team while you build up SP to kill the boss in one attack sequence.
They are also great to keep your entire party linked since they take up 4 squares. Any large monster works here since they are just bait, but high VIT is best for those times where they can actually survive the attack. I personally use Decimal. Who can resist a giant chicken as bait right? He also doubles as a good character to capture other monsters with since he has the hunter passive.
This video explains how it works best:As for PP and leveling up, spend a lot of points early in VIT. HP gains per level is based on the VIT stat, so you want to up this stat early and rely on equipment for your attack instead of level ups. Personally, I get vit to at least 100 before I spend many points in other stats. The most important thing with gear is lots of active slots for the accessory and armor while your weapon has the best equip slots for the abilities you want to use. Don't consider the stats too much except for AP (which IS very important) since you will be getting almost all of your stats from the active slots. The best accessory for all party members is the Ring of Heaven. The best armor for male warriors is Infinity, female mage types is Matrix, and all others is Pelops.I DO NOT recommend hybrid builds. Mages want to put one Magic Up+ and the rest Magic Up+ in thier active slots while warrior types want all +999 Attack or one Crit Hit up and the rest +999 Attack. Hybrids just make you mediocre in two stats instead of great in one.
The onlt Hybrid I use is my EX stealer or capturer since I do not boost their Attack or Magic at all, it is all luck +99 for them. As I said before, late game anything defensive is not really worth it since if you get hit, you are dead in one attack no matter what active skills you have slotted. For reference:Attack +999White Dragon + Ring Dragon = Silver DragonWhite Dragon + Silver Dragon = Yellow DragonRing Dragon + Living Dead = FafnirYellow Dragon + Fafnir = Arc DragonTrade the Arc Dragon into the Monster Guild for a Huge Mythril Fang+ which can be converted into an Attack +999. Have fun, you need to do this 8 times PER WARRIOR type.Magic +999Medusa + Mandrake Root = DryadExchange the Dryad for a Weapon and spend EP to turn it into a Magic +999. Not as bad as the Attack +999, but still needs to be done 7 times per Mage type.I have some extra useful information here as well I suggest you look at. You want to pump your capturers or EX stealer like Tetora full of luck (after boosting some Vit first) since her main purposes is to steal.
You can also use her to capture with the high luck stat. I also put luck into Decimal since he is good at capturing. I don't bother with much luck on other characters unless it is really cheap to boost compared to other stats (but after 100 points, all stats are expensive to boost, so never past 100 except on EX stealers / capturers).
Magic cannot miss (except for immunities) so after vit, put all points into Int on your mages. Strength increases Hit AND Damage, so put all points into strength after Vit on warrior types.
The only reason to put points into Agi is if you want someone to act faster than others in the turn order, so only add to Agi until that character has their turn soon enough for your liking (I don't bother with Agi though, I like going last when possible but I could go high AGI on Routier since I also use her as a healer in addition to an AP machine). Person with energy routier/plum. You generate the most sp by spamming revitalize or similar on yourself(why having zig with a water slot is useful). Energy pumps up the amount of sp you can gain by doing this significantly.
Luana, imo, has the best field for energy but alice is also good and is a better character. This was agarest 1 but my end game strat was having fist ladius with genius+unleash all sacrificed because he could pump up his sp obscenely fast anyway and would always have unleash all up, then hammering whatever with final blaze+deep strike(rex+beatrice+murmia, easy to do) which overkilled everything including the gods. I don't think zero gives you elaine-ladius though, which is a bummer.
